SAIC is one of the leading integrated agricultural projects in Qatar (since 1995). SAIC produces seasonal flowers and year round vegetables from greenhouses and open field in addition to animal production such as sheep, goat and poultry. The farm facilities and production units were designed with high quality standards with a total area of 40 ha. SAIC uses modern techniques in production, packaging and marketing. 

SAIC VEGETABLE PRODUCTION 

Vegetable production started in 1997, using modern and advanced production techniques to produce high-quality vegetable crops. SAIC produces vegetables under modern fully controlled greenhouses using hydroponics system. SAIC produces a wide range of 30 different types of vegetables mainly Tomato, Egg Plant, Cucumber, Capsicum, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Lettuce, Squash, Cabbage, Beans, Melon, Herbs, and Strawberry. 

SAIC SEASONAL FLOWERS AND ORNAMENTALS PRODUCTION 

SAIC produces more than 7 Million per year of high quality seasonal flowers of 50 varieties suitable for year round landscaping in addition to trees, Shrubs, Ground covers to cater for the market requirements in Qatar. 4 ha. of advanced modern greenhouses and nurseries are assigned for the production of seasonal flowers. SAIC covers most of the country’s need. 

SAIC LANDSCAPE 

SAIC is a leading company in this field in Qatar. It has expanded and undertaken large landscaping projects for prestigious clients in Qatar like Aspire Zone, Qatar Foundation, Cultural Village, etc.

 LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION 

SAIC Livestock production includes large numbers of Awassi sheep, Damascus goats, local chicken breeds, turkeys and ducks, in addition to a number of camels descended from distinctive Arab breeds. 

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY CONTROL 

In order to ensure quality and food safety according to international standards, SAIC has established the Quality Control and Food Safety Department. SAIC successfully gained the global GAP certificate as the first farm in Qatar to achieve this. 

This certificate insures the right procures to produce high quality and safe food for Qatar market and also would enable the farm to export products to European countries.
